Rustic Wedding at The Empress Estate in Washington
Alyssa and Tyler’s big day was located in the Pacific Northwest and was the most romantic and rustic wedding. These two are truly the sweetest couple and I had such a blast working with them. It was a rollercoaster of planning as they originally started the process about 2 years before Covid hit. Alyssa and Tyler had a lot of back and forth on if they would be able to have their wedding with Covid rules in Washington at that time. They were about to scale wedding way back to still have a ceremony and cocktail hour at the original venue. The rest of their reception was held back at the bride’s aunts home so that they could have more of their guests be part of the day. It was such a great example of how plans can change but turn into something amazing!
This wedding day was held in early fall and the state of Washington was totally showing off. It was an absolutely gorgeous day! The Empress Estate is a stunning venue with beautiful ground sites throughout the property. Alyssa and Tyler chose the Woodland Chateau to hold their ceremony and it is a true dream mountain estate. The staff at this venue is incredible and their packages offer so much from use of their rentals to complete set up, tear down and clean up. If the woodsy, mountain vibe is what you are looking for, look no further!

When everything could go wrong, only a handful of things did not and she was the top one. She captured moments I still look back to this day and laugh. Like how my mom and two bridesmaids could not figure out how to button my dress: she documented it, then buttoned me up. She captured the littlest details so I can look back and feel like it was just yesterday when my special day occurred. My wedding party and family are very awkward, but Zoya’s presence made them all relax and work the camera like they had done it before. She even gave her camera to my dad as he wanted a picture of the three of us, well four in a sense.
But here is where I will really brag about her. The photos of just me and my man. The moment of our first looks to when we were doing our vows and most importantly the day after photos. For not knowing anything in the area, she was able to capture the beauty of where we were and create memories for us to look back on years from now.
