Homer, Alaska Summer Wedding at AK Diamond J Ranch

Mazzy and Luke’s summer wedding in Homer, Alaska was straight out of a romantic movie! It was definitely a day for the books, I even won the Alaska Bride and Groom magazine cover for this wedding! I had a blast working with them, they really made the most of the day despite the circumstances. Fog and rain floated in and out all day stopping us from seeing the epic views of the venue, but we made the most of it and captured some stunning shots with the fog as a backdrop. The focus of the day was all about the new Mr. and Mrs. Fritzel, just as it should have been!

The couple had originally planned a wedding with hopes to have about 150 guests. Well, COVID hit and they cut the list down to 70 guests. Mazzy and Luke didn’t let that stop them from enjoying their celebration, they had the most beautiful little details weaved throughout the day. Mazzy is an artist and she made most of the signage and they even brought in a kombucha truck for the reception. How cool!? One of my favorite parts was when their wedding party did a swing dance, which they learned previously, all together to start off the party portion of the night. The whole day was full of so much love and laughter that made for some truly unforgettable memories.

RUSTIC FAMILY RANCH TURNED WEDDING VENUE IN HOMER, ALASKA

It can’t get much dreamier than that! Actually it can, because the views across the bay are absolutely unreal! With 25 acres of property, the barn, pavilion and horses that are trained for photoshoot, you can’t go wrong with this venue.

My husband and I are so thankful for Zoya Dawn Photography. One of my number one priorities when looking for a photographer was finding someone who captured the day authentically and kept images from feeling dark and moody. Little did I know how important that would be. Our wedding day was full of the most dense fog and light drizzle all day.
