Alyssa and Tyler’s mountain fall engagement photos were super spontaneous and playful. Working with these two meant there was a lot of laughs and fun loving moments. You can see and feel their chemistry in the photos. This was actually our third session together, Alyssa and Tyler booked multiple engagement sessions with me before their September 2020 wedding which was so fun. On this specific session, I had convinced them to go hiking up to Crow Pass to get some epic mountain views that not a lot of people are willing to hike for. We set out and about 2 hours into hiking we decided to stop in this location instead of the top of Crow Pass. They changed out of their hiking clothes in the middle of the trail and we ran around snapping all the photos we could before it got dark, we even captured a few in the night after the sun went down. It was a core memory type of day!
Sometimes, the spontaneous sessions are the best kind of sessions. When we don’t have a plan set in stone and we go with what feels right. I love getting to photograph couples over and over, they get really comfortable and are really able to let go and trust, that is when we capture the ultimate dream photos. As a photographer I am always drawn to the artistry of the present moment and I am thankful that I have the best clients who put their trust in me.
CROW PASS OFFERS THE PERFECT SCENERY FOR YOUR FALL ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS
Crow Pass is an absolutely stunning location for fall engagement photos, couples or family photos. Located about one hour south of Anchorage, it offers some great hikes with views of waterfalls, wildflowers, berries and even old mine ruins. I highly recommend this location in the spring, summer or fall since winter time may bring avalanches. The trail itself starts in Girdwood, a resort town, and runs about 21 miles, but you will have enough breathtaking views within the first few miles. Crow Pass trails are for those that are active and up for an adventure, it does require some good hiking skills but the photos captured are well worth it. Alyssa and Tyler took their photos here in the month of September and I can’t get over all of the colors that Alaska shows off this time of year. Crow Pass is a total gem!
KIND WORDS FROM THE BRIDE AND GROOM
“I will never stop raving about this wonderful photographer! She is so personable, funny, kind and encouraging. I met her on social media in which she reached out to me after I took a photo and asked where I took it. We began to talk about photography and hit it off. When my fiancé proposed to me we instantly reached out to her and booked our first engagement shoot. Yes you read that right, we did a second shoot because her. Her work was phenomenal and we were blown away after that first session.
I have recommended her to everyone I know and those that hired her even can’t stop talking about her. The best part is, she is willing to travel and be creative! If you are shy or self conscious about yourself in front of the camera melts away. She makes you feel comfortable and be able to smile so easily like there are no cameras and are just hanging with a long time friend.”
