Elegant Wedding at The Captain Cook Hotel

Ruth and Ryan Marcey decided to wed at The Captain Cook Hotel and it was so dreamy. With the elegant wedding details and documentary approach to their photos, this editorial wedding was picture-perfect. I was so happy when Ruth and Ryan decided to hire me to photograph their wedding, and the venue definitely didn’t disappoint! It offers a timeless, elegant atmosphere for your big day. It’s considered to be Anchorage’s most luxurious hotel, with world-class service and historic charm all around.

Ruth and Ryan shared so many intimate and romantic moments together during their special day. From the first look, to the heartfelt ceremony, to dancing at the reception, these two have so much love for one another. You can just see it radiating through each of these photos. The Marceys chose the perfect location to say their “I do’s” and celebrated with their closest friends and family on this gorgeous summer day.

ELEGANT WEDDING DETAILS

This wedding in particular was one of my favorites to photograph. With my photojournalistic method and film-based approach, I captured so many candid moments in between all the crazies that come with any wedding day. All the love, laughs, and moments in-between is what makes your story so special, and I always aim to capture those moments for you and your partner. Everything from the flowers, the dress, and even the getaway car was so perfect! This was such a romantic wedding to experience and I am so honored Ruth and Ryan chose me to capture these memories for them to cherish forever.
